Windows 10 Creators Update & Scomis Hosted Application Connector NOW RESOLVED

Problem

Microsoft have recently released a large update to Windows 10 called Creators Edition (v1703)

Unfortunately if you had installed this update you would no longer be able to connect to the service using our connector.  On launching the connector the error will be displayed as below.

Resolution:

Version 5.40 of the Hosted Application Connector is now being released w.e.f 04/05/2017 and resolves the issue by launching an updated version for users who have upgraded their operating system to the Windows 10 Creators edition.

To upgrade to the latest Hosted Application Connector, please double click on your Scomis Hosted Applications shortcut or launch it from your All Apps list (windows 10)

You will be presented with the Fatal exception error dialogue box and the Scomis Hosted Application toaster message should appear in your bottom right hand corner to notify of an upgrade.

Please click on the OK button within the Fatal Exception dialogue to make it disappear.

Now launch the Scomis Hosted Application connector once more, at which point you should notice that it has upgraded to version 5.40

If your application has not upgraded or you are still experiencing issues, please contact the Scomis Service Desk on 01392 385300

****If you downloaded our workaround RDP file, Please discontinue using it by deleting it from your desktop****
