The Microsoft Remote Desktop application is usually installed with all Microsoft Windows operating systems. It is used to connect to a remote computer, such as the scomis Terminal Server or another server/computer in the school.
Please note: Some network administrators may block access to the Remote Desktop program.
To Access the Remote Desktop,
Windows XP
Please note Windows XP is no longer a supported operating system. If you are still using Windows XP you should upgrade or replace your computer ASAP.
Click Start,
Choose All Programs -> Accessories -> Remote Desktop Connection
Type in the name of the computer that you want to connect to, then click Connect.
Windows Vista/7
Click on the Windows Button (usually bottom left corner)
Type Remote Desktop Connection
Press Enter
Type in the name of the computer that you want to connect to, then click Connect.
Alternatively
Bring up the Run dialog box (Windows Key + R)
Type MSTSC
Press OK
