It happens. SIMS Users go on holiday or are absent for a while, and when they come back, they forget their hosted applications password and need it resetting. This is done by the assigned user in the school (i.e. main administrator or IT manager) who has access to the User Management password reset tool.
We have put together a short video to take you through the process of resetting the password and notifying your user.
Important – Only users with the User Management tool can change users hosted applications password in the school. The User Management tool is generally assigned only to the main SIMS administrator and/or school IT manager. The head teacher or main administrator will need to send in a request to Scomis if other users in the school need the User Management tool. Only Scomis can add the User Management tool to a users shortcut menu.
It is beneficial to set your window zoom to allow you to see the whole of the screen without having scroll bars. Amend the zoom percentage accordingly so that you can see the Adobe Captivate button at the bottom left of the screen.
Use the universal start/stop/rewind/fast forward buttons shown at the top or bottom of the screen to run the video at your preferred speed.
