Bromcom: Primary End of Year Process – Summary of Steps

The following steps are a brief outline of the steps required to set up your new academic year in Bromcom:

 

1) Setup Academic year  via Config> Curriculum> Academic years


2) Setup Academic days – via Config> Curriculum >Academic days


3) Create your new tutor groups if you are having new name changes, if not skip this step – Groups> Tutor Groups


4) Promote year groups via  Modules>Curriculum> Assign Student year groups, once done you can check students show in the correct year groups via browsing to Groups> year groups> select a year group and change membership date forward to new year at the top of the page in “Membership display”


5) If students are moving up together you can transfer them via Groups> tutor Groups> scroll down to student memberships and tick the students on left, click “Transfer” set date to last Sunday in August e.g Sunday 30/8/26 – select next years group name and click save.  This will then promote the students as of the chosen date for next year.  You can check the students are showing for next year by going into the next year, change the “Membership display” to selected dates and add the start date last Sunday in August  and end date being the last Saturday in August of the following year, scroll to the bottom and you will see the students who will be starting in their new tutor group.


6) Run tutor group timetable generator via Modules>Curriculum> Tutor Group Timetable


7)Run the class register via Reports> Attendance>Daily>Class Register
