Key Stage Bulletin 2026

This FAQ contains the latest information and guides regarding the Key Stage Return 2026.

The DFE Phonics threshold has been announced as 31 as per Phonics screening check: 2026 materials – GOV.UK

Important Dates

Phonics Threshold mark release date- 22nd June 2026 – This information will be published on Phonics DFE

Schools must produce CTF files containing the results to

-EYFS

-Phonics

and provide to your Local authority on the dates they specify. For Devon County Council Schools please see the following FAQ for dates- Devon County Council Key Stage dates 2026

Schools must produce a CTF for TA Year 6 KS2 Pupils and upload the file to the NCA Website- NCA Website

You must also complete the Year 4 Multiplication Check- Multiplication tables check – Year 4 Multiplication Check

Arbor Known Issue

If you are an Arbor school there is a known issue when creating the Phonics CTF.

Please do not tick the ‘Only export the most recent assessment results’ tick box when creating your Phonics CTF.

If you do tick the box you may get an error and find that the CTF can’t be created.
