Vision: Performance Enhancements for Student and Staff Lists

The usability and performance of the Student and Staff List pages have been improved with this new upgrade.

Vision: Staff Right-Side Panel Enhancements

Vision > List > Staff

Vision > Analysis > Grid Data > Staff Absences

The existing right-side panel on the Staff List page has been refreshed to show more data at a glance and in a clearer, colour-coded format. The panel has also been added to the Staff Absences page as a new feature.
Administration – 2026 Admission Files Update The Admissions Transfers process has been updated for the 2026 intake to ensure compliance with statutory requirements for Schools in England and Wales.
Administration – Students Safeguarding: New ‘Kinship Care’ Attribute

Students > Student Details > Safeguarding

For schools in England, the Safeguarding section of a student’s profile has been expanded to include Kinship Care options.
Administration – Students Safeguarding: New ‘Ever Known to Social Care’ Attribute Students > Student Details > Safeguarding For schools in England, the Safeguarding section of a student’s profile has been expanded to include Ever Known to Social Care.
Analysis – Headline Figures Grade Mappings 2026-27

Modules > Analysis > Routines > Headline Figures Grade Mapping 

The Headline Figures Grade Scheme Mappings for 2025-26 has been carried forward for 2026-27.

The 2026-27 mappings will be visible when the 2026 academic year starts.

Administration – New ‘Young Carer’ User Defined Flag Config > Administration > User Defined Flags With this release, the Young Carer field has been added to the User Defined Flags page. When a student is identified as a Young Carer and the flag is active, it is now visible across key areas of the system.
Administration – Pre‑Admission Students: Improvements to ATF & CTF Import Date Handling Students > Student List

We have improved how pre‑admission students are handled when they are imported via ATF (Admissions Transfer File) and CTF (Common Transfer File).

Previously, these imported students did not become active until the Admission Date set in their Pre‑Admission Group, which limited their ability to be added to Groups, access MCAS functionality, and appear correctly in the Student List.

They will now be treated as active from the date of import, matching the behaviour of manually created pre‑admission students and allowing earlier access to Groups, and MCAS.

Administration – Summer Census Details Expanded

Modules > Census > School

Census summary tables now feature the exact times an action took place in the Date Generated, Date Validated and Date Authorised columns.

 

Early Learning Hours

The Pupil Reconciliation panel has been updated to ensure Early Years Hours are within these ranges:

  • Funded Hours – 0.00 to 15.00
  • Hours at Setting – 0.01 to 70.00
  • Extended Childcare Hours – 0.00 to 15.00
  • Expanded Hours – 0.00 to 30.00

Changes to key dates

To comply with DfE requirements the following date changes have been made.
  • Census Day.
  • FSM eligibility periods.
  • Learner Funding and Monitoring (FAM).
  • Termly Suspensions and permanent exclusions.
  • Termly attendance.
  • Alternative provision (AP) placement.
  • Learner support (bursary funding for 16-19 year olds).

Updated XML and XSLT

XSLT validation rules used to check XML files have been updated ahead of Summer Census.

The new XML file title will now be 8012000_SC1_801LL26_001.XML

 

Administration – Early Learning Funding and Allowances Upgrade for Summer Census

Students > Student Details > Profile > Funding and Allowances > Additional Information

For schools in England, “The child receives free early education” has been renamed “The child receives free Early Learning for 2 Year Olds” in the Funding and Allowances area and selecting the relevant criteria has been improved. This has been done to avoid errors during the Census process.
