What’s new on Bromcom MIS
You can view what is new in the MIS by clicking on the megaphone icon as seen below. We will also update this FAQ with the latest changes, new features and improvements each time they are released.

The Student Absences page has been upgraded to improve speed and usability. What’s NewThe bottom right of the list page now shows you how many records are in the list and allows you to jump from page to page. Each page contains 100 entries to ensure fast loading. |
| Census – School: New Data Check Reports | Modules > Census > School | For schools in England, you can now run Data Check Reports in the School census by selecting a Return, clicking on Reports and choosing either On Roll or Leavers from the dropdown list. |

The following enhancements have been added to the Take Register New Interface:
New Icons
Two additional icons – Seating Plan and Attendance Mark Protection – are now available in the new interface. These were previously only accessible in the Week View of the old interface.
– Seating Plan
Opens the Seating Plan in a new tab.
The Seating Plan will open in either the new or old UI depending on the configuration set in Config > Setup > System Settings > New UI Settings.
– Attendance Mark Protection
When enabled, prevents attendance marks from being overwritten. The button can be toggled on and off. The icon will appear blue while active.
The default setting can be configured in Config >Attendance >Registration Options > Rolling Register Options > Default Attendance Mark Protection.
New Actions
The following actions – Assessment and Dinner Register – have been introduced to the new interface. – Assessment
Opens the Assessment Marksheet in a new tab.
– Dinner Register
Opens the Dinner Register popup. Permission can be enabled in Config > Setup > Roles and Permissions under the Framework module and People > Students > Dinner Register.
