Windows 7 Common Start Menu Programs Folder

The Common Start Menu is a version of the All Programs that is displayed to every user of the computer.

On Windows XP the Common Start Menu folder used to be stored in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu

Windows 7 has changed this location – C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu

You can Access the Start menu location by browsing to the above path, or by

  • Clicking Start,
  • Right Clicking, “All Programs”
  • Choosing “Open All Users”
