Getting Pop-up “publisher could not be verified”/”Are you sure you want to Run this software”

To stop the message : “Publisher could not be verified. Are you sure you want to Run this software?” follow these steps:

  1. Click Start -> Run -> Type gpedit.msc and click ok.
  2. Go to User Configuration >> Administrative Templates >> Windows Components >> Attachment Manager
  3. Open the Inclusion list for moderate risk file types setting.
  4. Set the policy to Enabled, then add “*.exe;” or whatever the file extension you are using to the Specify high risk extensions box. This will stop the popup for any more programs.
