Scomis Hosted Application Connector – Another version of this product is already installed

Problem

When installing the Scomis Hosted Apps Connector the installation package will attempt to remove existing versions  before completing installation.  In some circumstances this will not be possible and you will get an error stating:

  • Windows Installer – Another version of this product is already installed. Installation of this version cannot continue. To configure or remove the existing version of this product, use Add/Remove Programs on the Control Panel.

Solution

Manually remove the existing installation of the Scomis Hosted Apps program via Add/Remove programs before attempting installation again
