Cause

  1. Permissions
    1. The connector has directed your connection through our secure remote desktop gateway but your account does not have permission to do this.
    2. This could be because your school does not purchase the VPN home access option for the service
  2. Connectivity
    1. If you are trying to access the service in school there maybe a connectivity problem
    2. In the Scomis connector click the Help menu the bottom entry should say Direct / SWGfL for a school on the SWGfL
    3. If it says “Connection: Remote Desktop Gateway” and you are accessing from a SWGfL school try the “Help > Reset Settings” option & check our connectivity requirements or log a call with the Service Desk.
  3. XP SP3 with RDP 7.0 / CredSSP
    1. If the computer is running XP SP3 with the RDP 7.0 update you may need to follow the steps in this FAQ http://faq.scomis.org/kb9263/

Solution

  1. Permissions
    1. Please log a call with the Service Desk if you would like to upgrade to the VPN Home access option and enable all staff in the school secure flexible working access to your hosted applications.
    2. If you have already subscribed to this service please log a call and we will investigate the problem.
  2. Connectivity
    1. Try the “Help > Reset Settings” option in the connector & check our connectivity requirements or log a call with the Service Desk.
