Address Validation not working

Address validation is enabled by running licence patch 7186.

 

The activates the address validation service in Tools / Setups / Services

If the service is there (i.e. the patch has been run), and the school phones in to say it is offline, it is one of two things

  1.  It cannot get to the address validation URL (http://www.capitasolus.co.uk/CESAddress/) through the internet
    1. Check the internet is working at the school
    2. If the school is using a proxy server check the above URL is listed as an exception.
  2. The service is not active at Capita’s end (the least likely but worth checking).

Yes to Proxy and Yes to user settings.
