LogMeIn Resolve – Requirements

Remote access offers enhanced customer satisfaction, greater efficiency with regards to resolving your issues on first contact and providing our highest level of support when investigating problems.

System Requirements for End users
These hardware, operating system, and browser requirements apply to your end users’ computers. Recommendations for network configurations are made to ensure a smooth support experience.

  • 1.33 GHz Dual-core CPU
  • 4 GB RAM
  • 260 MB free space
Operating system-specific limitations

Operating system Limitation
Windows 7 SP1 and later LogMeIn Resolve runs with a limited feature set on Windows 7.
Windows Server 2008 R2 and later On Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2, you must enable TLS 1.2. For information, see the Microsoft support center.
Windows 8 and earlier / Windows Server 2012 and earlier To start unattended access, you must first open TCP port 8883 on the remote device.
Mac OS Ventura (version 13) and above The Rosetta software is required when joining a support session from a Mac with an M1 or later Silicon chipset.
Linux Remote Control is currently not available on Linux devices.
Chrome OS Remote Control is currently not available on Chrome OS devices. Remote View is only available on devices running the latest Chrome OS version.
Browser requirementsThe latest version of Chrome, Edge, or Safari.

Important: We advise against using LogMeIn Resolve with Firefox, as some features are unavailable on that browser. For optimal performance, consider using Chrome or Edge instead.
RMM prerequisites (Windows only)

  • Patch management:
    • Windows update policy requires: Windows 10, build 17134 (version 1803, “Redstone 4”)
    • Application updates require: Windows 10, build 19041 (version 2004, “20H1”)
  • 3rd-party antivirus: Windows 10
  • LogMeIn Resolve Endpoint Protection add-on: Windows 10, Windows Server 2008 R2 and above
  • Remote execution: Windows 10
  • Alerts: Windows 10
  • Operating system: Windows 10 1067+, Windows Server 2012+.

To permit Scomis to remote support devices, we suggest you allow the LogMeIn Resolve URLs listed below to ensure that Resolve services are able to connect.
