When a user is invited to use SIMS Online Services, it keeps the original email that was invited and doesn’t update when the email is changed in SIMS. There doesn’t appear to be a way to cancel the invitation so what you need to do is to go to https://admin.sims.co.uk and browse to Manage Users > Re-invite User > Parents and find the parent in question. There will be a button by them that says ‘Reveal’ and clicking this will show you their code.
The parent will need to be emailed the following:
“We are inviting you to join SIMS Online Services, the new online portal. To register, please enter this URL into your browser:
When prompted, please enter the following invitation code: Paste the code generated by following the steps above.
You can register to sign in with your existing credentials with any of the below account providers:
- Microsoft/Office 365
If you do not have an account with any of the above providers, then you can create one for free.”
Once they have logged in they will then be prompted to enter the code that was revealed for them on the SIMS Admin website as specified earlier.
Then they can complete the registration.
