Parent App – Can I restrict what is edited in the Data Collection Sheet?
It is possible to restrict the Data Collection areas that can be edited in SIMS Parent.
This can only be completed on by the SIMS Online Services admin via admin.sims.co.uk
Go into to the SIMS Parent Settings > Data Collection
There will be a list of 8 data areas that are collected:
-Contacts
-Cultural Information
-Dietary Needs
-Medical Details
-Parental Consent
-Passports
-Student Details
-Travel
These are all linked to the areas of the same name in SIMS Parent. The only exception being Student Details which also controls whether Addresses and Telephones & Emails can be edited also.
The areas are then removed by selecting the cross next to each of the data areas.
