Windows 7 Power Plan

Windows 7 is configured to save power by switching off, going into standby or hibernation after a set idle time.  In a Workstation Server environment this would cause problems for remote workstations accessing SIMS.

Set the Windows 7 Power Plan to maximum

• Click Start
• Type Power Options, then press Enter
• Click “Show additional Plans”
• Choose the High Performance plan
• Close Power Options
