Windows 7 Firewall

The Windows 7 firewall helps to keep your computer a little more secure, however it will need to be configured to allow File and Printer sharing as well as allowing SQL traffic (for SIMS/FMS access).

Click Start,

Type Windows Firewall

Choose Windows Firewall

On the left hand bar, choose Allow a program of feature through Windows Firewall

Scroll down the list, locate File and Printer sharing

Tick all boxes

Scroll down the list, locate SQL Server (SIMS2008)

Tick all boxes

Click OK to close the firewall
