Unable to run report – document management server not installed

If you are working on the main admin PC in school and get the above message please check the service is running

  1. Go to Start | Run | then type services.msc and enter.
  2. Scroll down list to find Sims.net Document Server
  3. Double click to open and check the service is ‘started’

If you are on a workstation please check the main admin PC can run reports.  If they are running on the server then on your workstation

  1. Go to Start | Control Panel – open ‘Windows Firewall’ and check that this is switched off.
  2. This should also be switched off on the server – please check in the same way that it is.
