Explaining the drive mapping in Terminal Server, how to navigate the drives

You should have a link to File Manager on your shortcuts to the left hand panel of your Scomis Hosted Applications Service, SIMS program, click on this and you will see all the drives available to you and be able to move files between them.

When you use Securenet, Teachernet or Collect you must also use the links from the left hand panel other wise you will not be able to import and export files to and from SIMS.

School_name$ (SIMSDB01) (F:) – This is the drive which is hosting your SIMs and FMS. Any files that you need to upload/download from Securenet, Teachernet or Collect will be located / saved to there.

C on xxxxxx (e.g. Main admin) – This is the C: drive on your local machine.

D on xxxxxx (e.g. Main admin) – This is the D: drive (CD/DVD) on your local machine.

F on xxxxxx (e.g. Main admin) – This is the F: drive on your local machine.

G on xxxxxx (e.g. Main admin) – This is the G: drive on your local machine.

Etc etc

If any of the shortcuts that you need are missing, you main administrator or ICT technician should have access to the Terminal Server Shortcuts program to provide you with a shortcut. If no one in the school is aware that they have the Terminal Server Shortcuts program, please contact Scomis and we can tell you who has the correct access.
