Adding Qualification no longer in the QWS QAN Catalogue

The DfE QWS QAN Catalogue now only supports new qualifications where they are applicable for use in the sixth form.

To add qualifications no longer in the QWS QAN catalogue you will need to do the following:

1. Within SIMS select Tools | Examinations | Add Qualification Data
2. Click OK
3. Click New
4. Type the QN e.g. 60370506
5. Add the Title e.g. BTEC Level 1/2 Tech Award in Digital Information Technology
6. Select from the Discount code/Subject dropdown e.g. CN1 – Computer Use (this is sorted by description to allow easy use).
7. Select from the Awarding Body / Board dropdown e.g.103 – Pearson Education Ltd (this is sorted by description to allow easy use).
8. Select from the Qual Type / Level e.g. BTA – BTEC Technical Award L1/2 – Band C – P-D*
9. Enter a date into the Expiry Date / Certification End Date
10. Click Save
