Disabling UAC in Windows

UAC – or User Access Control – is a feature of Windows to help protect against Malware. It can be disabled, but this is a potential security risk, and you should carefully consider all the implications of this before proceeding.

  1. Windows 10 Type UAC in the search box and press Enter – Windows 7 Click Start and type UAC in the search box and press Enter.
  2. Slide the slider all the way down and then click OK to save the changes.
  3. To enable UAC simply slide the slider back up to the default setting “Notify me only when apps try to make changes” and click on OK.
