Scomis Hosted Application Connector (for hosted SIMS) and remote backup – SWGfL School Connectivity Requirements
SWGfL School Connectivity Requirements
The hosted SIMS connector will work for a SWGfL school following our standard connectivity requirements guide but we also allow direct connection to the load balanced server farm for SWGfL schools. This will provide the most efficient connection for your users by routing the traffic directly to us within the SWGfL network.
Existing Customers
- The majority of SWGfL customers will not need to make any change requests to the SWGfL because Scomis have requested the appropriate rules are put in place across the SWGfL.
- New SWGfL Customers or those who have had a change made to their network by the SWGfL for example to increase your range, speed or other change it is likely the SWGfL will lose your existing rules so you may need to request this again.
Testing Connectivity
Before deciding to log a change with the SWGfL there are three simple tests you can do to see if you already have the appropriate access, click on the links below, in each case a page should load with the Scomis logo.

- If this link fails you may have have in incorrect proxy exception. Check Tools > Internet Options > Connections > LAN Settings > Advanced, under Exceptions you should not have *.scomis.org
