Encryption – The isolation period has expired

Summary:

If you receive an error when attempting to login saying: “The isolation period has expired.” you will need to log a call with the Service Desk who will follow this process…

Issue:

Can’t login to device and receive error “The isolation period has expired”

Cause:

All devices are set to disable access if they haven’t synchronised with our server within 180 days ( Six months).

Synchronisation makes sure each device has the current configuration and software version and allows the device to offload it’s log to our server for audit purposes.

If you install encryption onto a machine who’s date and time is set 6 months into the past this issue will also occur.

Resolution:

ScoMIS need to carry out a Machine recovery.
